London Marathon Training: Getting back on schedule

So, my mini winter bug (which turned into proper lurgy) and letting myself feel sorry for myself, knocked me for six and training fell by the way side.

I now know that I need to kick myself into gear and get going, otherwise I could make the 26th of April 2015 really really hard. Harder than it needs to be. And it will be my birthday. Nobody wants that.

The weather has got a lot colder and I will take my long runs outside but I have decided to add some treadmill runs inside, so I can be a bit more comfortable. I will also be able to use the other equipment at the gym for my cross training. So I hope it will be a win win.

I have not missed out the the actual beginners training plan, that started almost a week ago. I hope to maintain this kind of momentum. Local fundraising events are also being booked, so this have given me the added motivational boost. Which is great.

Diet is majorly important when you want to work out. The right food will give you the right energy to fuel your exercise. I'm back on the healthy eating regime and I feel better for it. I even went out last night and had an awesome salmon salad with extra veg and I swear that my body was screaming thank you!

So there's a quick update. I'll let you know how it all goes.

If you would like to know more about why I'm taking party the London Marathon 2015 you can HERE.

  1. The cold weather always makes outside running a little trickier. Glad you are feeling better x

  3. Sounds like you're heading in the right direction, keep going! (I know you will)
I'm not a fan of running outside unless it is perfect conditions (not too hot, not too cold, no sun in my eyes, no rain, a little breeze but not windy... etc! haha!) but I am rooting for you :-)
